I just returned from Egypt and spent 4 days in the Sahara Desert with Ali Gomaa, partner and tour guide with Sahara Oasis Travel. I travel all over the world and I can say that this trip tops the list for me. I give him and his company the highest rating and would encourage anyone looking to make this trip to look him up. You will be glad you did.

Ali tailored his Classic Desert tour to meet my specific requests. He listened carefully to what I was looking for and then created an itinerary that was perfect. I am passionate about my photography hobby & Ali made sure that every day was full of spectacular sights and that we were in location during the times of the day for best lighting. He was very patient and stopped whenever I wanted to shoot, and made sure I never felt rushed.

I was traveling with my 25 year old niece and his wife so Ali also wove in plenty of adventure and excitement to create a trip of a lifetime for them as well, all the while keeping our safety in mind. We had a blast riding through the sand dunes with Abdul, our driver extraordinaire at the wheel, and also learned how to sand ski under their direction. He had given so much thought and care to or trip planning, but it seemed effortless while we were there.

Ali provided all the meals and beverages and left nothing to chance. We ate fruits, raw vegetables and never got sick. Our cook, Slah, made the best meals throughout the day with great variety. At night we sat by the campfire and enjoyed their singing and drumming until it was time to sleep which we did under the stars.

Ali wants his clients to enjoy the Sahara and leave with a deep appreciation of its beauty, and he plans the trip to ensure that you do. I got all that and more. I hated to leave.

One thing to note: Ali requires 50% down payment cash wired into his bank account upon trip confirmation. As an American, this was foreign to me and I was skeptical. However, it is legitimate and worked out just fine, so don't let this turn you away.

I just got back from Egypt on a desert tour with Ali Gomaa and had one of the most beautiful and exciting vacations ever. And I travel a lot! I went alone with my 11-year-old boy. Before we left I was at first a bit wary about what would await us travelling by ourselves through the desert with Ali and his team, but I never would have imagined that we have sooo much fun!! Ali our guide, Salah our cook and Zeen our driver really pampered us (esp. my son!) and watched over us and we felt really safe. Salah was a great cook and the evenings at the campfire eating one of his specially seasoned Tagines and the Barbecues were spectacular in a way that now 3-star restaurant can offer. And the nights in the open desert under the stars were more meaningful and special than any 5-star hotel. my son and I got almost delirious counting the shooting stars in this amazing starry sky! Every day was like a different, exciting new world in the White Desert, the Black Desert, the Great Sand Dunes, etc. Ali showed us sites that I am sure no other tour guide has ever offered, including a 2,000 year old Roman tomb where my son even held up the skull and we took a picture.
Ali is a great, trustful person who organizes these trips from the heart. You feal like you leave a family when you leave.

My husband and I and our 3 children were in the White desert last month. We did the desert circuit starting in Cairo and ending in Luxor for 6 days. It was incredible. Unlike anywhere we have ever been before.

We found a guide when we arrived in Cairo. He was absolutely fantastic. Ali Gomaa of Sahara Oasis Travel (egyptoffice@sahara-oasis-travel.com) . His rates were very good and he was so knowledgeable and fun. We can not say enough good things about him.

I highly recommend taking the time to do the Western Desert Oasis.

FANTASTISCH!!!
